Landscape Architecture Plan Sets

At Thomas Consultants we prepare Landscape Plan Sets for a wide range of clients and their property developments. These projects can be large scale subdivisions, or community facility developments, two lot subdivisions, and mixed urban developments.

The Process

Typically the set will include a landscape master plan, plant and materials selection and specifications, a retaining plan (if applicable), a fencing plan, a landscape materials plan, construction details, and planting and maintenance instructions.

These plans and drawings are collated and presented in a set for lodgement with a Resource Consent Application, or as requested by Council Planners as a Section 92 request or Condition of Consent.
Our team is experienced in providing plans that create good outdoor amenity values as well as fulfilling urban design and safety requirements.

Portage Road, Auckland – Landscape Plan Set Project

The image to the right demonstrates a landscape plan set created on a site in Papatoetoe, Auckland. This project entails the intensification of a single house property in Papatoetoe, to allow for seven townhouse units. Thomas Consultants worked with the architects to design the landscape around the proposed town houses, to be a functional and enjoyable environment to reside in.

There were also requirements to design in a way as to meet all of the Auckland Council consenting regulations. For example, allowing for overland flow paths and providing certain basic amenities to each townhouse.
