Restoration plans provide more detailed guidance on restoring ecological areas (bush, wetland, riparian, streams, re vegetation planting). Restoration plans may cover just one or multiple restoration actions.
They may include the following:
- Animal pest control plan
- Weed pest control plan
- Planting plan
- Habitat enhancement recommendations.
Our team has experience in providing plans tailored to the client’s requirements. These may be simplified, easy to follow plans for community groups and landowners, or more technical plans where contractors are to be engaged for restoration projects or to support resource consent applications.

Ecological Management Plan
Depending on your situation and location there could also be additional environmental aspects to consider. Ecological Management Plans are more comprehensive than Restoration Plans.
In addition to providing detailed recommendations for weeding, planting and animal pest control they may also provide guidance on the following that will influence the construction methodology if for a development and the timing of works related to vegetation clearance.
This may include the following:
- Herpetofauna (lizards and skinks) management actions
- Habitat enhancement
- Avoiding impacts on birds
- Avoiding impacts on bats
- Kauri dieback protocols
- Any other detailed recommendations to reduce impacts or enhance the site.
