RMA Planning Manager

About the role
We are looking for a Planning Manager to lead our growing planning teams based in the heart of West Auckland and a smaller team in South Auckland. This position presents an excellent opportunity to move your planning career forward in people and client management, business development and to shape our planning services into the future. The role involves managing:
- RMA consents planning
- project management of resource consent projects from inception to consent delivery
- mentoring and developing the growing planning team
- building relationships with clients and growing business in collaboration with our Senior Managers and supported by marketing
Your technical planning skills and experience will see you excel in this role with the opportunity to influence outcomes on a variety of interesting projects.

Skills and experience
Your great people skills enable you to work successfully with diverse clients and collaboratively with colleagues. You enjoy a team culture interacting together with specialists from other disciplines to see projects succeed. Building the reputation of the company in the wider marketplace through great service is important to you.
We are looking for an individual with at least 12 plus years’ experience with at least some of that in the private sector. You will have managed high profile, complex projects with a good track record, and have people management experience or are keen to grow in that area. Experience with hearings is expected, and Environment Court experience would also be beneficial.
A key attribute for this position will be an interest in leading and developing a team. The right candidate will have enthusiasm and drive to continue to grow the company’s reputation in the market.
