Thomas Consultants is a growing multi-disciplinary company that offers planning, engineering, survey, environmental and related services on a range of resource management projects across the Auckland region. We are looking for a forward thinking, experienced Senior/Principal Planner to help lead and develop our planning team in Manukau, with a view to becoming a Team Leader within the next 12 months. Our reputation with local and central government and private industry means you will have a variety of private and public projects to work on across a range of client areas in Auckland. Skills and Experience
We are looking for an individual with at least 5 years experience (including a minimum of 2 years in the private sector) and who has managed high profile, complex projects with a good track record. Experience with hearings is expected, and Environment Court experience would also be beneficial. A full NZPI membership, or commitment to pursuing full membership, is preferred.
A key attribute for this position will be an interest in leading, managing and growing a team, noting that the position is likely to grow into a team leader role within 12 months. In addition, as our workload is dynamic and challenging, the best candidate will have enthusiasm and drive to make a reputation for the company in the market.
